LEGO have announced they’re bringing in new packaging in an aim to teach millions of kids (and many adults) about recycling and sustainability.
The LEGO Group say they’re investing US$400 million over the next years to improve their sustainability in the long run.
The paper bags will replace the numbered plastic bags in each LEGO box. They’ll begin trialing the paper packaging next year and LEGO say it’s all to, “help children understand the importance of recycling and ensure they have the best possible play experience”.
The paper bags will be phased in over a four-year period from 2021.
