14 years in the making… But was it worth the wait?

Short answer: Yes.

In my case I’ve literally waited half my life for this film.

The Incredibles 2 is set in the 1960s, there’s a ‘Get Smart’/old school ‘Mission Impossible’ style throughout the film, an all too familiar world – with a superhero twist.

Director, Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Ratatouille), is back for the sequel – his genius along with the Disney/Pixar magic does not disappoint.

Visually, the movie is stunning.

Over a decades worth of CGI improvements are a clear knockout.

The Incredible’s 2 is truly honest, it depicts real family relationships, teenage love, and fitting to the times – women bringing home the bacon.

There’s some slight repetitiveness on the action front. Nonetheless – it keeps you on the edge of your seat EVERY time.

There’s just something about superheroes and their inevitable mission to stop hurtling, destructive, heavy objects.

The film kicks off right where it left us in 2004, with the arrival of ‘The Underminer’.

But there’s a new villain on the scene, ‘Screenslaver’ – a nice little nod to society today.

Everyone’s favourite super fashionista, Edna Mode, returns and we delve deep into baby Jack-Jack’s hidden powers.

Disney have some sort of magical, secret, movie formula that is near impossible to mix wrong.

The whole family will love this movie.

‘The Incredibles 2’ will blast its way into Australian theaters on June 14.
